Slovenia has implemented the Use for public security purposes (Art. 5.3(e) InfoSoc) exception in Article 56 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.

This exception allows for the use of works if this is indispensable, in certain concrete cases, for the performance of tasks relating to public security or the performance of any official proceedings, such as proceedings in the National Assembly or National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, or judicial, administrative or arbitrary proceedings.
