Romania has implemented the Use for the benefit of people with a disability (Art. 5.3(b) InfoSoc) exception in Article 35, para 1 (e) of the Law No 8/1996 on copyright and related rights. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.

This exception allows for the use of works previously made public for the benefit of people with disabilities, which are directly related to that disability and to the extent required by the specific disability.
