Latvia has implemented the Temporary acts of reproduction (Art. 5.1 InfoSoc) exception in Section 33 of the Copyright Act. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.

Implementation summary:

This exception allows for the temporary reproduction of a work without the consent of the author and without remuneration if said reproduction is an integral part and an essential component of a technological process and the purpose of the reproduction is to permit the sending of the work performed by the intermediary to a data network between third persons or the lawful use thereof, and if such reproduction has no independent economic significance.
