Hungary has implemented the Use of public speeches and public lectures (Art. 5.3(f) InfoSoc) exception in Section 36(1) of the Copyright Act. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.

Implementation summary:

This exception allows for the use for informatory purposes parts of public lectures and of other similar works, as well as political speeches, to the extent justified by the purpose. The source, along with the name of the author, shall be indicated, unless it proves to be impossible. The permission of the author shall be required for the publishing of collections of such works.
