Hungary has implemented the Photocopying/photo-reproduction (Art. 5.2(a) InfoSoc) exception in Section 21 of the Copyright Act. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.

Implementation summary:

This exception allows for the reproduction by way of photocopying or by other similar means on paper or other media of the like. Rightholders are entitled to an appropriate remuneration with regard to private copying. Reproduction of sheet music, entire books and entire issues of periodicals is expressly excluded in Section 35(1).
